Hi all, hav'nt posted for a while, ive had problems with pc.In the last few weeks i have bred my whippet/greyhound bitch 21tts to a pure bred working wheaten 19tts owned by chris hickling and hopefully they will be due around beggining november fingers crossed!,ive seen various wheaten crosses from 1st x's to 3/4 x's but never a whippet greyhound cross.I'd like your views on how you think there gonna turn out ie racey, stocky.Ive only bred this way as i wanted something that could draw and catch the odd bolted fox.any sensible reply's apprieciated, please bare with me as i cannot answer straight away i have problems logging in on my pc so i have to come and use my brother in laws.

Does any one think they will be to heavy for rabbits as well ? I thought the whippet in em would bring about quite a racy lurcher or will they be too much wheaton in them ?
To be perfectly honest ive bred this way more with foxes in mind, like PADDY said more of an athletic wheaten, hopefully thats what i'll get. They will be half wheaten, 1/4 laguna whippet ,1/4 greyhound.

would you say they wouldn't make a great rabbiting lurcher i have both foxes and rabbits in mind though
If you put one of these pups in that situation then yeah it will catch rabbits as most lurchers would but being half wheaten i would expect it being hard mouthed and a few mangled rabbits. This is only my opinion others would be appreiciated.kind regards hunterside Edited by hunterside
