beast 1,884
dont get carried away by the wording of the article, these deer are certainly not any where near the city of london, they will be somewhere round chigwell, walthamstow, where there are quite a lot of green spaces, and just a spit away from epping forest. the deer in epping are increasing rapidly, despite the fact that they have a pretty strict culling policy, as there are so many areas where it is simply not safe to shoot. as for deer in the city itself, we were seeing muntjac in hampstead garden suburb 20 years ago, and i think they are probably in fair numbers in parts of inner london now. i fished a dead one out of the regents canal not far from london zoo about 1991 we did wonder if it was an escapee but a phone call confirmed it didnt belong to them. i suspect they have spread along the overgrown railway banks the same way as the foxes did originaly

Parabuteos lad 878
This was on the One Show a few months back, pretty amazing sights around inner city housing estates. London, Glasgow, Manchester etc... Funny how Liverpool has almost nothing in the way of large wild mammals in the city but that is starting to change... Very true, I've got a nice head on my wall off something I found on 57 and a very urban part of it. There was one found further up on the same day and I have found tracks near to where I got my head from

kirstysdad 827
this herd is in the suburbs they run up these streets every night and eat all the locals flowers in there gardens been there as long as I have known the area a good 30 years and have seen plenty of dogs over the years muntjac now right in town see them within the north circular [a406] all the time just like the foxes travel in on the railway banks these fallow lie up in the daytime in local parks and not unusual to see one in the day if it gets disturbed by a dogwalker
