No one would give you second glance, infact you will be driven insane by being accosted by border collie owners whilst on nature bimbles with your dog.

Here you go hot meat   http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=d2iDG2Yvw7E

Not all ground we hunt is suitable for super fast Lurchers. ..

Something of a speciaist and tend to provoke a "Marmite" reaction, there's some footage on youtube of one ferreting, depends greatly on your land and work and what YOU EXPECT from YOUR dog, as like with everything else you the only one that has to be happy with it.Me own opinion, never seen one do anything , anywhere a half cross couldn't do, only a bit slower.

Folk say moochers dog and ferreting dog. But out of interest. . . what would the reverse x offer that a good half x (not necessarily 1st x) wouldn't?

That's a good question !! i guess more brain power, a stronger build and frame less likely to damage its self and perfect for breeding a 5/8 3/8. other than that not a lot. why anyone would call a 3/4 bred a moochers dog beats me one of the best lamping mutts i have seen was bred that way, most professionals use collie bred lurchers

i had one of these for years when i was younger, she was a super bitch, retrieve live to hand everytime and as clever as they come, didnt like teeth but im sure there are some of the same cross that take everything, they imo are a very versatile and "user friendly" dog.
