mturner85 9
Guys I'm newish to shooting and I know people say not to tighten the mounts on to the tube of tge scope to much. How tight can you do them? Is it just a case of nipping them up or tight but not forcfully tight?
TWOTWOTHREE 152
I just fit them evenly tight then a slight nip. But don't hang off them, I never have trouble with scopes on my springers right upto centre fire Atb Edited March 3, 2014 by TWOTWOTHREE
GEOFF.223 83
........ ←small end | I ←alan key | | @ ←alen bolt Tighten like this using the small end in your hand give it a good wee nip you will realy struggle to damage scope whilst doing it this way. I do this on all my rifles and none has ever moved. 9 individual rifle done and never a problem.

valter 0
Geoff.223, That is a great use of the keyboard to illustrate. We mount a lot of scopes at the business I work at and that is the way we use the allen wrench. V.
