VOON 1,317
Hold him off it till next season and get him bushing over the ground, where he won't get a whole lot of success. Plenty of rats. He might forget the coming out bit next season. Seen dogs do that it the first season, some make it some don't. What age did he start at? Quote Link to post
super d 85
I'd say he was over a year old he was very keen for ground so I let him at it . Quote Link to post
VOON 1,317
Lot of bull bred dogs seem to ready to rock at 8 months, but imo its better to leave them till there close to 2. They seem slower to mature than straight patterdale or lakeland. 1 Quote Link to post

Barry White 79
Think you have to give him a bit of time,as said a lot of bulls can be very immature and stupid for what seems like ages, try him in a really shallow place in September on uneducated game and keep quiet don't bring other dogs ,then again dogs can have strange habits ,he certainly wouldn't be the first to have started in that fashion, very best of luck! Squirrel_Basher 17,100
If not then put him away and try him when hes 3 or 4 or maybe 5 but better still save on dog food and feed something thats proper bred .No wonder the general concensus is that the working terrier is in decline. super d 85
Some sound advise lads thanks . But foxdropper I don't think every working terrier is a master starting off there learning all the time and the game would have alot to do with it . But saying that if he don't work out for me he will get a bullit in the head 1 Quote Link to post
