Malt 379
Not a fan of cities.. Too many people and too much going on for someone used to dead quiet and the occasional rumble of a tractor in the distance!

Huan72 687
You are right Gnasher, its all about adapting or not. My wife is from London and when we had been seeing each other for a time, the decision had to be made about were to live. I had to be honest with her and say that I just couldn't live in London, which says as much about me as the place itself. She wanted to get her son out of London so it was kind of win, win if you will I didn't grow up in the countryside but in a small town but am country in heart if you understand what I mean, I could see the downs from my bedroom as a kid and have always been drawn to them and live near the sea which again I am drawn to. Getting out to the country or seeing the sea is as vital to my health as the oxygen that I breath. I am a bit of a loner and I just couldn't handle living in such a busy place, its all about knowing yourself I suppose

Was going to say about that roundabout mate, mental.. 7 lanes of driving by horn lol...... Was there with my brother his wife and my missus one time, one of those weird bikes where the bloke lays flat and pedals ( don't know what they're called, f***ing stupid looking things)... Well it approached the roundabout beside us, we stopped, the mad French cyclist just went for it... Loads of horns lol... beast 1,884
socks, sounds like your main gripe was with the traffic, and i have to agree with you. when i drive down to see the family, i can get to brent cross in about 45 minutes, then 2-3 hours to get to lewisham/new cross/deptford area. and i really have to totally concentrate due to everything which is going on, which i find incredibly draining. as for lewisham itself? well. there is less litter in the streets than 25 years ago, and no packs of stray dogs (and so less dogshit) but those are the only improvements; in EVERY other way the area is 100 times worse. i love seeing the old man and the rest of my family, but apart from that i fecking hate the place now
