cheers lads , seams to be a hell of a kick of it , bought that 25 years ago second hand for £20 just got some info on it from RWS .its the modle 52 with a beech stock . and 1100 ft/sec , watt would that be in ft/pb

The RWS Model 52 has all the action of the 48 air rifle with added features of a Monte Carlo beech hardwood stock, checkering in the grip and forearm for added control, and a sculpted cheek piece. With an inch longer length of pull than the Model 48, the Model 52 side lever is popular among air gunners who want the best of all worlds—affordability, power, and accuracy.

few yrs back i had an modle 52 with thumb hole walnut stock, slightly higher than 12ft lbs after i fitted a new spring. it was a real sod for letting me down after that. the little cast fitting on the side of the sliding breach broke twice, and at 16 quid a time was a pain. then the cocking arm broke at the point the pin goes through it so i droped the spring back out of it and ground it down a little to get it at 11.45 ft lbs and it was very accurate as well as smooth to shoot. very nice gun to own and i got plenty of pleasure from it.
