I think my Jill has started to come in season and my hob has had huge swollen balls for a couple of weeks and stinks to high heaven.

 

He wasn't too interested on the last trip out to be honest so I think that will be it for this season.

That was the best day I've had all season. 43 if I remember right. Really enjoyable aswell, good crack with Jim.

 

But had plenty of good days local getting 6s and 7s. Couple of double figures and the odd 20 or so not too far away

Suprised you've even had a season mate. I'm on the Thames and all my land is under water! I have ferreted a grand total of 0 rabbits in Oxfordshire this season, had to make up with the shooting. Bit of a bugger!

And we have done ok mate really. Missed the flooding here really. Few fields water logged and most places too wet for lamping but we have had some good fun ferreting.

 

I will still be lamping for a bit yet, then the gun will come out for the pigeons

glad you had a good season mate, always a bit gutted when it ends,

I'm the same, took my little girl up the woods for an hours mooch today with a ferret and the dogs, only bolted 1 which the dog duly missed .. nothing serious now though, ended last weekend with a bag of 51, had some good bags this season though out of the hedges....

Cheers Flacko - The pup has done really well learning the ferreting game this season. Really steady with ferrets and nets and catching the odd bolter. Can't ask for much more.

 

Vanman - You aren't alone. My missus describes me in a similar way

 

Newkid - Cant beat taking a ferret out with the kids and bolting one or two for the dogs. My daughter loves it
