pesky1972 5,382
Most of the bookies have Burns about 2/1, even though he's going into his 10th world title fight and he's fighting in Glasgow. Anyone think he's got a chance? I've backed Burns to win on points. It's a sell out but my mate's confident he can still pull a couple of tickets out the hat for us. Hope so, it's a cracking card. pesky1972 5,382
Ah well, I suppose the bookies seldom get it wrong. Burns well outclassed in the end but stuck with it and gave it his all. Always knew he was a bit limited and he's done really well to get to where he has. Can't ask any more. Still some great fights for him at a domestic level, can't see him winning another world belt. Atmosphere was fantastic, pity it'll be the last we see of that for a while in Scotland. AKA-BRINDLE 879
I didn't think Crawford was all that great...he didn't so much win the fight as Burns gave it away...Burns certainly didn't 'give it his all'...maybe Ricky's a bit gun shy after the broken jaw?...but a poor display i thought...made worse to watch by Jim f***ing Watts usual negative commentary
the apprentice 178
Looked like a half arsed effort to me,
Its_grim_up_norf 577
Shame, but he's not looked right for a couple of fights, world class fighter, he's proved that a few times. But last few outings hes not looked himself. I really like him though, and enjoy watching him box. Not sure how many more he's got in him. Maybe do a khan and move gyms, go over the pond see if that can revive him. Jim Watt pisses me off though, nobody can ever give the winner any respect. Rather than "Ricky looked bad because Crawford made him look bad" it's "Ricky looks bad because of his broken jaw having a mental effect"
