MIKE 18
A vehicle the size you want and with enough pulling power with good fuel economy IMO doesn't exist ......... I have a Pajero lwb fits the bill perfect apart from the fact that it's shit on deisel ............ but there ain't no perfect motor IMO so you gotta see what's the downfalls ....... in the 20 months I have had my Pajero I've spent no money in parts just servicing and a new set of tyre's , it start's first time .....every time .... and it's like a new car condition wise ........ the only bad point is fuel economy .............. depends on the mileage you will be doing on an average week .......... you really need to work it out before you buy ........ I get 25 to the gallon running around and just under 30 on a long run providing you drive it sensibly .........if you got a heavy foot then economy is worse ......... but like I say mine's been a very good motor for me been all over the country in it too

Id prefer a van in all honesty (better for the dogs)......can you get ones 4 ft off the ground so they can go through water :11: MOLL. MOLL.
MIKE 18
My mate had a diesel pick up truck for his hounds that was pretty high off the ground and was a bit better on diesel than my jeep too I think it was a Vauxhall Brava or something like that............ he has been across fields in it too ....... Guest Jonner
Vauxhall bravas are excellent motors, good on diesal for what they are and are very reasonable in price,1500 quid will get you a tidy one and 4 grand will get you a nice 51 plate

Guest lazylurchers
Hi Molly Heres a pic of my Suzuki Vitara, which is similar to the SJ. It only has 1600 engine, so only thing I'll be trying to pull is the men!! My jeep has been off road for a few months due to ignition probs but thanks to a very nice man its fixed and raring to go! I do find it very heavy on fuel though. Pamela x
