slipper 116 Posted February 26, 2014 Report Share Posted February 26, 2014 someone has already explained this but apologies as i cannot find the thread, I was told that crimping the bullets increases accuracy, thing is i have a lee hand loader which says you can crimp bullets with this but i,m not sure how, anyone done it with one of these? I think it was geoff 223 or charlie caller that said i need a lee factory crimp die, but i have not got the press, so is it still possible with the hand loader? cheers Quote Link to post
yellowdog 12 Posted February 28, 2014 Report Share Posted February 28, 2014 Crimping can help concentricity of the bullet in relation to the case, there are other ways of achieving this that are mostly better. You wont see many / any Benchrest shooters using such gear these days though certain rounds (especially those that headspace on the rim like hornet ) it will help. Set your die in exact accordance with the manufacturers instruction to crimp Quote Link to post
