roybo 2,873
If it's jacked,it's jacked ... If you buy 1 pup out of a litter it's a long time before you know if it's a jacker. How can you sift through the shit of a line if it takes 2 or 3 years to find out you have a jacker. If I had one Jack I'd probably look else where ,or look if it's been pushed too hard too soon 2 Quote Link to post
roybo 2,873
Is it a line or is it just someone breeding off a couple of generations Of his own dogs I mean is there any line breeding That might be the reason for inconsistancy... Quote Link to post
night warrior 178
Is it down to the dog or down to the owner how many of these dogs was grafted to young its no good trying a dog to young then blaming the dog or its breeding seen it to many times to young to soon then dogs f**kt and its dogs fault 7 Quote Link to post

All the way through his watching period he was at the end of the lead raring to go but I held him back. As Stabba said when I first got him "He should self enter" and he did, no world beater but honest enough for me 1 Quote Link to post

stabba 10,745
Not many of you out there have a dog direct off billy. Billy's been dead a number of years now so what you do have..is a watered down version. Shroom. The sire to your dog was the belly brother to Stan. Stan is off Billy to a Bull/Grey x Sal/grey. The bull/grey on the dams side is Blue that les gedge owned. But before les owned it. So Stan carries a 1/8 of saluki in his make up. hope this helps 5 Quote Link to post

greenman 221
I have a bitch from Reece out of billy here. This was the second to last litter out of him, the mating was repeated and that was the last litter before he died. Truly the best dog I have owned, has never jacked and excelled at everything expected from her breeding, she's sat on my quad now, comes to work everyday on the farm, on my previous place she used to help me get the cows in for milking, providede with more meat than I could eat and supplemented my wages for a while, will do a days beating, retrieve rabbits live, pick up feather to the gun, retrieve running birds, squirreling with catty or gun, never let me down or given up and barked. I'm not saying there's not shit in any line, in fact every other dog billy sired could be shit for all I care, I've been lucky, but I believe partly this was down to entering the dog and how it's been brought up. When I picked her up of Reece he said take your time enter her when she's ready and I took that on board. 10 Quote Link to post
Jake w 232
Seen a dog of Reeces line and that jacked and barked at its quarryIf I ad a quid for every time I heard that you say you seen A dog from reeces lines Jack. So how many av you seen doing the job? I av seen some shit from the line and seen good from the line as well you av to sift throw some shit to get the one the suits the jobs in hand I've seen two but what a mean is other people have seen them do the same and to be honest I think if it's a good line you will here more good stories than bad and a few people have heard the same I have heard more bad stories than good and it sounds like he is producing more shit than good and there maybe good dogs you people may have owned them and yous may not like my opinion but this is it Quote Link to post
