Nik_B 3,790
They need to split the country along ethic lines asap. Crimea is mostly ethnic Russians these days (partly helped by the Stalin sending the Tartars off to gulags as punishment for aiding the Germans in WW2.
Mickey Finn 3,016
Yeah, things are getting interesting over there. Like Paulus said, it's not likely Russia will just give up it's warm water port. The Crimea is most likely going to stay under Russian control. If that can be achieved peacefully all the better for Putin. But, there is that whole international law thing. With the USA's downsizing of our military over the next year or so. Kicking them out of G-8, or G-20 is going to be about as harsh as we are likely to get. If it comes down to fighting, I think it will be Georgia all over again. paulus 26
we've sent "baldy" William Hauge......................that will do the trick
scothunter 12,609
we should just let the russians do what they are going to do, cause they will anyway, and in between then and now we shouldnt say/do something we might later regret. crimea is russian technically, and putin will not want a civil war so close,it will be quashed and anyone who russia feel a threat, will be purged, russian soldiers with no insignia on thier uniforms, and mostly with thier faces covered. America and the uk will not go to war with russia, and if im worng and our leaders do decide this is thier only action, then they better undo what they taught our soldiers about compassion and rules of war, cause all that will go out the window. That marine who executed the taliban guy, well bettter let him out of jail.Thats the type of attitude and mentality you will need. Just remember putin is a serious admirer of stalin. "The greatest leader to have ever lived" aye like malt said we dont tread carefully this could be very messy indeed

Nik_B 3,790
EU countries wont agree to sanctions, imagine what would happen if the Russians turned off our gas supply...that's right we'd have to rely on our windmills and solar panels
