Some of us aren't old enough to have been alive when the Cold War was going on :D

 

I've read all about the Cold War and the nuclear weapons, I just didn't understand Born and Malt's terminology about what Russia were test firing, that's all ;)

You don't need to be old enough to have lived through the Cold War to talk about it, it's never held Born back :laugh:

I remember as a kid back in the 80's I got all the magazines about nukes, planes, tanks, the lot. I knew all the different types, names, payloads, missiles. At school we would have debates about the differing capabilities about the USSR and the USA. We were 10 when the argies invaded the falklands but we did our bit..........................................cut out argie planes on the dartboard :thumbs::laugh: War and weaponry was something you grew up with and every boy was interested in nuclear missiles................ I loved the 80's :laugh:

Did anyone see the Ukrainians marching towards the Russians yesterday, think towards the airfield to demand joint control? Russians firing shots in the air over their heads and the Ukrainians kept on marching right up to them....it'll be one little thing like that, a stray bullet and it'll all kick off.

after that confrontation the Ukrainians played football until seven figures appeared from behind the Russian soldiers dressed in normal clothes but carrying side arms

Why do army vehicles always look so old? I was in fort George couple of year back and there was a line of land rovers and I said to one of the blackwatch soldiers, they look old. He said, they're brand new :laugh:
