Went to pick some ammo up yesterday and ended up coming away with some other bits and bobs as you do, wanted a cleaning Matt but spotted this Tipton gun Butler so thought I'd give it a try, very impressed, especially for price think it was approx £38, nice solid feel but light weight.

I've only purchased it for a foot stool ?

 

Got bore guide and cleaning rod on route too + every cleaning fluid known to man.

do you ever fire the gun or just clean it?

aside from being mean, what is the best way to clean an air rifle without too much fancy gear? have tried a couple of ways but hasn't done much good.

Ah...but have you got the special cleaning cloth? It LOOKS like a 30 year old Led Zeppelin teeshirt with stains and holes under the arms, but is in fact what the pros use. I can let you have one for £50.

aside from being mean, what is the best way to clean an air rifle without too much fancy gear? have tried a couple of ways but hasn't done much good.

I only fire on occasions mate spend majority of time cleaning haha

 

Not 100% with air rifle, I only use to wipe down with ballistol oil externally and never had any issues with springers / pre-charged over the years.

 

I only started getting set up after my centre fire arrived.

Can I order 2 mate, will they improve accuracy off my rifle ? Haha ?
