however I think I have left it a bit late this year as pointed out,

so going to look for the right hen and get the earlier start next year but thanks again . dtd

I don't think you have left it too late..my goldies have not started pairing up as yet so i would still give it a go..my mule canaries never started making nest's until the back end of march last year and they went on to lay 4 clutches of egg's..the first lot where infertile but the rest all hatched.. just go for it you never know what will happen unless you try..

Certainly isn't to late and the native cocks won't be in full condition untill end of march, april time anyway and i'm only just starting to seperate off pairs this week..So keep looking and as Tong po says Stafford sales this weekend and you will find what your looking for there.

Over countless years i could count on my thumbs the amount of genuinely good hearted dogmen i knew.......in a very short time every birdman i know seems generous, decent and helpful.......i put it down to money/ego and lack thereof.

so it seems ive not left it to late... received a pm off a guy today who has explained a few things

regards breeding, he has a couple of hens spare, and it seems ive got a bit of time left to prepare , I did think

the pairing up process took longer than maybe actually does, so gonna give it ago..

as regards mentality dogmen vs birdmen, well I don't know all dogmen or birdmen, but the BEST livestock in my

opinion wether it be singing birds , coursing dogs, terriers, gamefowl tropical fish or anything that has had careing breeder behind it

is never sold . Given away, swapped borrowed even, but never sold. so the guy who pmd me thanks for the birds and hope you enjoy

the fowl see you soon..
