slipper 116
Right peeps, I have been reloading using hornady brass, but have just been given a load of mixed cases ie remington Winchester prvi etc in 223. I know your not really supposed to mix because ofdifferent thickness and volume pressures etc but honestly what difference will it make? Quote Link to post
dicehorn 38
You have answered your own question really. If you are hell bent in firing the same load in mixed cases, can I suggest you weigh the cases and batch them weight wise. It generally is not regarded a smart move to do this especially if one reloads near the max in a light weighing case and then puts the same weight of powder in a much heavier case - it could give very dangerous pressure spikes. On a lesser note, different cases (because of their differing weights) will alter POI 1 Quote Link to post

GEOFF.223 83
Different brass will also be harder or softer from brand to brand . In other words some will hold your bullets tighter and will need more pressure before releasing the projectile. Different pressures ain't good at all. Quote Link to post
