New Project In The Post! Hw97K :):)

The red bit of the safety always sticks out a little bit, then when you cock the rifle the safety automatically engages, (slides to the left), so the big bit comes out and the little red bit goes in.

and if the anti bear trap is fitted then you cannot de cock the rifle.

however if you remove the anti bear trap you CAN de cock the rifle, but some say its dangerous.

Nice noe matt, you can remove the safety/bear trap.take out of the stock, remove retaining bolt and coking arm, then just lift it out. You will now be abke to De cock the rifle . Please make 100% you keep hold of the cocking arm every time you load the tifle

I removed mines but have gotten so used to it being there that I put it back in, more psychological than anything else.

As Davey says never let go of the cocking arm or barrel if its a break barrel when loading, I still hold it even with the anti bear trap in just incase.

Type in air gun accident on air gun pursuits tv and watch the vid of a guy who lost the top of his thumb, I'd put it on here but can't get copy and paste to work on the THL these days.

Chris.

Got all parts washed down instantly noticed the metal work is different from any ive done before clings on to grime like mad and as soon as blueing removed was going rusty in seconds and looked patchy as hell

was bit worried this was going to be a disaster

but cracked on fast as poss as rust spreading fast

another quick rub down to get the rapid rust
