mushroom 13,105
I agree.....when you dissect the term 'all rounder', it soon becomes apparent that they really do not exist. that's JMO. How about all rounder specific to the breeds job?? For example a running dog that will pull anything it can catch on the run, or a terrier that will work any underground quarry it meets or a staffy that retrieves like a gundog  1 Quote Link to post

THE STIFFMEISTER 16,091
I am always amazed at the time some people have to keep a run full of allround dogs I mean between testing them on small paddock hares, bushing , ferreting, working with terriers, flushing all game and running on the big land and on the fell in the daytime in addition to lamping all available quarry and doing this week after week season after season to fully merit the tested on all quarry title , when do these people find time to sleep? 2 Quote Link to post

THE STIFFMEISTER 16,091
I can't believe some people can qualify dogs as exceptional on all quarry after a few doubled up Charlie's and a few fence stunned roes I must say I don't even own a dog myself and 5he ones I've owned have been nothing special, but if I was after a pup, I'd be wanting something a little bit more from the parents than a couple of years ran slipshod on anything that moved Quote Link to post
