I really should know better but like a fly to a bit of fly paper I couldn't resist and hey presto I was right all along and now I am kicking myself.  I have been swerving this thread on purpose all d

Proper hunting By that I assume you are talking about "impressive" and dangerous animals. To me proper hunting is a mindset of respect for the quarry and being in nature, not just standing on the sid

I'm awaiting the elephant pics, the one where they get a little irritated by some prat shooting arrows so they stomp on em now that's proper hunting     Some of our greatest naturalist have been

not sure its entirely accurate (got your dads name wrong for a start!) but i'm sure the paper would do you a copy of this sandy if you contact them?

i've been on google this morning, and apparently six wolves escaped from their pen at whipsnade in 1980 and although they didnt get out of the zoo they killed a lot of deer within the grounds. as far as i can make out they were all recaptured.

Perhaps a little easier these days with dart guns, especially if ther're still in the perimeter fences but there’s always a risk with captive animals with a reduced fear of humans, although I expect they don’t go in with em these days though.

I'm bowhunting a black bear this year. It's a trophy hunt. I make no apologies for that. It's my first bear so I won't be worried too much if it doesn't qualify for Pope and Young.

In Manitoba, as long as I have paid for my bear tag, I can shoot timber wolfs and coyotes for free. Which I will do, given the opportunity.

It'll be a guided hunt, although I won't have a guide with a gun with me.

ALL guided hunts in Africa, regardless of your weapon and quarry, with have a PH with a back up weapon alongside you.

Bows are an effective hunting tool.

Errr have you seen the size difference between a grey squirrel and a wolf?

Have you been bitten by a squirrel?

I have mate, I was wearing work gloves at the time, it didn't matter lol. What I meant was, easier for grey squirrels to disappear and breed than wolves.

Any more wolf stories sandy?

Aye, I want to know how they discovered it missing, the panic, who all knew it was missing, how long was it missing, how was your dad feeling, was he a huntsman, did he track it or was it luck. Was the wolf fleeing from them, how many were hunting it, was he a hero for shooting it, was he frightened..... You know, just a wee bit of background mate lol. The guys a hero in my book

Certainly not a hero like you two

It's a strange one. I don't suppose it's any different than fishing for salmon and putting it on a wall. It's just different. It would be exciting but I think I'd prefer to shoot them with a lens.

 I was being serious, I wanted to hear about it. I thought he was a hero doing that. I'd be proud if it was my auld man. Getting sensitive in your old age.

That attack was before I took up the contract to murder them all. I've now singlehandedly wiped them out by using the techniques on that video combined with a rubber hose
