The young bitch I have here would have fecked right off if you took her straight out and expected her to work ... She is a very loyal bitch and although loves attention from everybody once I am not around she don't like it and will search high heaven for me .........

if you ask some of the lads off here i have taken roost shooting old flash will not do anything for anybody else he will just sit there no matter how many pigeons are falling around him

Well went on the 200 mile round trip today to collect new lurcher off hubbs, after i had posted in classifieds asking to buy a lurcher, i soon got a message offering me this dog for nothing as he was

Some dog's seem to suffer for a while after changing hands..Some don't and take to the new owner in a matter of minutes. It's up to the new owner to decide which of the 2 types the new dog is. To some

It is a shame most are in it for the money mate but nice to know there are still some good honest lads in the game well done hubbs

With it being an older dog that has done a fair bit i think it just in them, when the lamp comes out they no what the job in hand is they are trained to chase and whether they catch or not it is instilled into them if trained to return to you, that is their only job...

I would advise building a bond with the dog first , but sometimes you just click ,I bought an adult dog once , and from meeting the dog in the sellers yard and the journey home ,I just knew we were ok ,I cant ever remember putting a lead on that dog and it was 3 when I bought it .

what is wrong with you northernlite??? its a sad world that you can't trust anybody, he was a genuine bloke and i've had pms on here comfirming everything he said, lads that have seen the dog grow up, your right he could of been talking bull but you can only take people on face value, maybe i'm to trusting but dog got 4 out of 5 last night and just got back with her and she's killed 2 out of 2 that will do for me, thats the last time i will run them this season but she will gett plenty of rabbiting in, i think he was just a genuine bloke

Exactly, for example if you were getting a terrier on trial and say that trial was for a week, you wouldn't let it settle in for six days and take it on the last day, same i suppose with lurchers, as has been said there here for a reason, they are a tool, and up to now she's doing the business...

Her brothers the same socks. He'll do anything for me, he's not keen on strangers and wouldn't look the road you were on even if you tried to feed him a full chicken...... If he was to try and live with someone else no way could you let him off the lead and try to lamp him no way would he retrieve or anything like that.....

And to be honest I like the fact he's well both mine are like that just bucks worst.....

I brought older dogs in in the past and they've settled and run within 24hrs. But to be fair probably cause there used to beening moved about

if you want a tool then buy a spade, dogs need nurturing and bonding time daily not putting in the cupboard until the next time you need to use it

hahaha, my dogs get nurtured countless miles each day, worked 4-5 nights a week plus during the day, they live in the kennel and come in the house, play with the kids, get spoiled by the missus, when i say tool they are, their there to do a job...

so there not just a tool then
