Ideation 8,216
Not worth the risk of kenneling together. Working together. . . . no problem! 4 Quote Link to post
skycat 6,173
We have two large male lurchers, and a male Whirrier: the Whirrier has to live in a kennel 24/7 because he's a feisty little thing though no nastiness in him: just little man syndrome or should I say, typical terrier attitude. But he can and does work fine with the lurchers when they are concentrating on a common cause. The two big male lurchers live togethe in the house with absolutely no problem: though their two temperaments are poles apart. The older dog is boss, calm and intelligent and confident, and the Saluki head case is very submissive to him and there's never been a problem. But I do kennel them separately when we're both out, as you can never, ever say for certain that it wouldn't kick off especially if some of the bitches are in or near season. Having said that, I have bitches I wouldn't leave loose together either: it all depends on how well you understand your dogs and can read them. 1 Quote Link to post

Kind of what happened to me except they were never separated if we went out Big feckin mistake but it was 6-7 years in the making After that we always separated them if we went out. The next fight they had was after we had come back from the Lakes one Sunday the dogs were fuucked so we decided to stop at the local country pub for some food... The plates were put on the table and some guy came in asking who's was the red car with dogs in it as the were going mental....... piss off I said who's put you up to this? No I'm serious.. So out I goes, opened the boot to find three now completely red! white dogs panting like fook cost me a good few grand that did and the next day when the mrs was washing out the claret from the car (It looked like a Vietnam huey) she found one of the dogs ears  Quote Link to post
