Any help much appreciated the seller has to enter the gun and their details on table 2 of your certificate, best if you both then send a letter in to your licensing office one to state sold to and one to state purchased from Quote Link to post

SportingShooter 0
Most licensing departments now accept notification by email, Check first with yours but I find it much easier Quote Link to post

SportingShooter 0
If you've disposed of it then you only need to notify the police that you've done just that and who you sold it to, Nothing to enter on your Certificate on this occasion Quote Link to post

walshie 2,804
Met Police are quite happy to accept an email as notification as long as you put all the particulars. They even send you an email receipt. Quote Link to post

They even send you an email receipt. That's good. It amazes me in the 21stC with all the tech we have there is not a centralised firearms registry system with a website that you can access to complete a simple form and submit it. All relevant parties could do this and notification of receipt sent via e-mail. We're still pissing around with paper licences ffs! The whole thing is archaic! They need an app with the relevant hashtags etc etc obviously... Quote Link to post

Agreed They have a national database for all FAC/SGC/Exp holders and all their guns, I'm sure they could make a web interface to add or subtract guns from licenses... Quote Link to post
