Huan72 687
Just a few pics and a quick write up on the these boots: They cost £130 and so far have been absolutely fantastic Have only done about 500 miles so far, the ankle support is good, I weigh about 14.5 stone and more than enough support. Most of my walking goes up and then down, no rubbing on the toes on steep ground which i am happy with as the front is very rigid with a double thickness of 2.5mm leather on the front and rear. Grip is excellent on wet chalk, mud on chalk and wet grass as is waterproofing, they have kept me dry and upright in chalk streams. They needed very little breaking in, if at all but with the rigid front leather I may have been lucky I know most break into Lowa or Altberg camps but these are really good. I sometimes go for 20 plus mile walks if I am feeling doughy and no blisters at all, very minimal hot spots even Only had them for about 3 months so longevity is yet to be proved but on their current performance I am confident they will last. Huan72 687
They have an industry equivalent waterproof/breathable lining called sympatex. I guess its the manufacturer that blackhawk deals with. Quote Link to post
