mattybugeye 884
Yea thought that earlier. There is a slight leak when firing. there no o rings in the delrin is that right? Quote Link to post
barrywhite 282
I would say the main thing for inconsistancey on mine was the hammer .it rattles down that aluminum tube .I made a hammer that rode on the barrel the inside that touched the barrel was plastic with a brass outer part to give it some weight .I made different hammers but settled for the same weight as standard also I polished the barrel that the hammer rode on .check your valve is not bent or sticking if it is sticking a little metal polish and twisting may loosen but you get some air leak out of the valve when shooting the gun if you do to much you will get more .IF YOU HAVE TO DO THIS ALL THE METAL POLISH MUST BE REMOVED BEFORE YOU REPLACE THE VALVE .It was possible for me to remove my valve and not adjust the factory setting by taking out the hole assembly in tacked .I also put a heavy spring in the bottle to close the valve .but the biggest problem was as the bottle emptied 100 to 120 bar not sure but at low pressure a heavy pellet would send the gun over 12 ftlbs .so at 190 bar the gun had to be set a 10 ft lbs with normal pellets it was fine but heavy pellets it was close so I gave up and sold the gun . mattybugeye 884
Barrywhite when you say check valve is that in bottle mate? Came with 2 bottles left one in shop for overhall so when collect that think maybe leave other? Edited February 19, 2014 by mattybugeye Quote Link to post
barrywhite 282
yes the valve in the bottle .if the bottle is empty you can push the valve in and out with little effort smoothly.I bent my valve a little once it is eazy to do i dropped the bottle .I was able to straighten it again lucky . After a lot of messing I got my stealth shooting well but all the effort and time ,buying taps, dies, o rings ,different materials, time spent making bits ,cost of pellets testing .the only thing I found good about a stealth was it gave me an understanding of pcps . It will be nice to see how you get on over time . Quote Link to post
mattybugeye 884
Well a pellet dropped out of barrel yest and got lodged between the top hat and breech and dumped all its air in 1 go with my cheek on bottle looking through scope!!!! After changing my boxers decided it was a good time to strip the bottle as was empty inside was full of dirt and like rust residue all cleaned up and oiled now don't think its bent but hard to tell. Also stripped gun used wet and dry on barrel were hammer slides cleaned all delrin up with wet and dry and gave a good oil up seems to cock and fire a lot smoother so will get filled and tested after work. Definitely a tinkering man's gun its been in bits on bench more than been shot lol Quote Link to post
barrywhite 282
I used a softer o ring than standard, the one seals the valve assembly in the bottle .that just when one day after filling the gun .one day you may see sense and get an get a AAs400 thats what i did , a real gun in the same price range as a space age looking ray gun STEALTH thing. mattybugeye 884
Lol big fan then. I do like it a lot and when its shooting right its spot on! Yea know what you saying would be nothing worse than driving a hour to permission for it to pop my ear drums again dumping its air. Sure il get it right in end well hope so until something else decides to break Quote Link to post
barrywhite 282
I suspect many have tried to get there thinking I will get there in the end .BUT a stealth is like hard drugs kids just say no . 1 Quote Link to post
