I have never fed milk to ferrets or any other animal in my care , i wondered if people feed it cause the animal needs it or do they feed it because its i suppose a mothering thing, i fed my babies milk till they got teeth  but i dont understand if the animal were wild it wouldnt get milk as an adult , or would it , just curious to see what others think :)

It just adds a bit more calcium to their diet. Probably about the only thing that actually kept them ticking over, during the period when the country lost the plot and started feeding them Bread and Milk slops.

Now the country's teetering on the brink again, feeding prepackaged carcinogens. Perhaps a bit of milk would be a boost to such creatures? Couldn't access milk in the wild? And where would they access greasy pellets of chemical loaded recycled vet kill? :hmm:

Either way, I know that when I had that milking goat here - and I don't use milk myself - my Dogs would guzzle a gallon at a sitting, if I allowed it! Did them no harm.
