They made a point of saying "not a banned breed" When will people realise its not the breed you need to be concerned about, ANY dog has the ability to bite/maim/kill potentially. Those spitz breeds have high prey drive ,It's harsh to say but a squirming little baby would look like a meal to a big malamute. But as we were not there we can only speculate.
