Great: to see that they all seemed to retrieve no problem with the other dogs around must be an eye opener for some lurcher owners! They obviously care about their dogs too: taking bottles of water along on the hunt.

It's not what we call sport is it?

 

But for all we know their job is to clear that property of rabbits completely. I wouldn't mind giving it a go... but they're a bit bigger than the bushing dogs I've seen elsewhere!

Yeah they don't have big bags like one would with a lamp and whippet, but these dogs have more nose, take the terrain/heath better than a real running dog.

I use 1-2 pharaoh hounds for Cottontail rabbits here. Dachshunds (Teckels) flush the rabbits, pharaohs catch, kill and retrieve the rabbits. Gotta watch that the Teckels don't steal the rabbits from them before retrieving to me.
