paulus 26
having smoked for well over 37 years and now suffering the effects of doing that, last week i decided to pack up, now i have tried to do this more times than i care to remember but have never managed to quit for more than a couple of hours, i have tried patches, gum, inhalator's just about everything available all to no avail, last year simoman packed up using an ecig, at the time our local shop was selling them, the ones that looked like a fag so i purchased one, didn't work for me infact it was shite, last week i had to go into town and in the shopping centre was a bloke with a stall selling socialite ecigs, got talking to the bloke and his sales patter was good but he also seemed genuine so i took a risk a purchased two, this was last Thursday dinnertime, since i got home both me and the mrs have packed up smoking fags completely, can not believe how easy it has been, no mood swings, cravings or thoughts of killing people, so to all you smokers out there who think they can not give it up, go for it its easy you just need to find the right thing to help,

Westy76 546
I don't know baw my theory is to reduce the nicotine content down gradually to nothing same as with the patches then sack the thing. My mrs has never given up for more than an hour and she's doing well so I'm not complaining. Paulus,I've tried them plastic look a like fags and just didn't really work for us but these ones I got on eBay are great.

Bosun11 537
Paul, Baw is right... I packed up smoking with the use of an ecig last March BUT I was very mindful of the ecig and when I knew, after a few weeks, I didn't need to smoke any more, i made damn sure I took the next step and eased off the ecig after another two weeks.... Job done..! Stick with it but don't become an ecig addict either.

You need to stick to that though, I know folk that's been smoking them for 2 years now and don't like they are going to give up any time soon lol
Sirius 1,391
Your a 'vapour addict now' but a lot less risk that tobacco apparently, but they don't really know the long term effects. I have been given 4 months or so, but bought a vaporitz tank for when at the pub etc, big mistake as I am back addicted to nicotine. Gonna try and bin it soon. Westy76 546
The liquid is same as anti freeze so won't be on it for long but if the next ice age descends on us I should be ok lol

Folk with ecigs seem to have them stuck to there face constantly taking in far more addictive nicotine. If your gonna do it, do it like your smoking a fag, 5 mins puffing away then hide the f***ing thing for half an hour. After a few weeks widen the gap to an hour etc. then after a few months come down a strength and start over again. That's the only way I see it working without becoming an ecig addict.
