Wildling 520
Does any one on here bother with eye protection when practising or even when having a walk about, only ask as I had catty elastic come lose and smash into my face today and it made me think what would of happened if it had hit my eye. Think I might start wearing sunglasses when I can !
B.P.R 2,798
Just buy some ballistic glasses off ebay... they will stop a ball bearing and dont look too bad either... We should all wear safety glasses...its good practice... But what we should do... and what we actuslly do is sometimes different... Im guilty of not wearing glasses as much as i should...
Blackbriar 8,569
I acquired a pair of glasses from our own BPR - the type with inter-changeable lenses. Most of my shots are at pigeons, so I'm looking upwards a lot and I got sick of buggering up my fishing sunglasses, so a no-brainer really...........can't recommend enough - if only to keep the sun out of your eyes! (Surely someone remembers the sun........??!!)

(Surely someone remembers the sun........??!!) Theyre good glasses. Me and rm2508 had a good few direct shots at them with 12mm steel and 10mm lead. Only after a hammering did they crack ...
air gun ant 1,666
I've always got a pair of safety glasses on my head as I have to wear them at wrk, but that's the problem! They are always on my head lol i had to get 3 steel shards removed from my eye ball a few months back after tidying up a bit of welding under the landy. When you have your head in a clamp and a doctor digging around in your rather infected eyeball with a bloody great needle it makes you think twice about not wearing them! B.P.R 2,798
The thing you dont want... is an RTS... a return to sender shot... I didnt know what this was...i thought it was a 'ping' back off the target... But... Its when the ammo gets caught in the pouch and doesnt release..and fires BACK at you... This happened to me... a few months back... and hit me in my chest... hurt like feck! ... Ive also had a bands snap... and whip the catty out my hand... hitting me in the face... It does happen.. and safe it better than sorry ...
