Chris the bass 7 Posted February 16, 2014 Report Share Posted February 16, 2014 Hi iv just got a 3/4 greyhound 1/4 collie hancock lurcher it's now 12 weeks old and we are keeping it as a house dog but I will be doing a bit of lamping with him iv been told the best thing to do is crait train him so every night I put him in it and when I get up he has been sick ans weed in it we are on day 3 now and would like some sugestens please iv have lurcher all my life but never had a pup so new to this cheers Quote Link to post

Stick with it most dogs get used to it mate. My dogs love the cage after they get used to it. Dont ever put him in it as a punishment if you do he will assosiate it with a bad thing. 1 Quote Link to post
tb25 4,627 Posted February 16, 2014 Report Share Posted February 16, 2014 still very young...and early days..try not giving it enything to drink an hour or so befor bed and stick it out side for 20 mins or so befor bed.. my pups 15 week and only messed once or twice and thats my folt for not putting her out regurley.. my pup in her bed lol 2 Quote Link to post

I put the cage in the kitchen last night and left the dore open on the cage he didn't go sick just pooed on the floor once witch wasn't so bad I don't mined it not being locked in the cage I just don't want it chewing the furniture or belongings and want to house train it any tip will be appreciated Quote Link to post
