Brigzy 1,298
Looks like Sunderland have got themselves a good manager, and another win today.........but where was the support ? Watching on TV it looked like an awful lot of empty seats.
clipo 871
that aint a bad result to be fair as southampton have been doing well of late....
Brigzy 1,298
17k is very poor Max, especially when a team is on a bit of a run . The 70000 who will be at Wembely sound like the prawn sandwich brigade, not true supporters like the ones who were there today .
Brigzy 1,298
Then why don't that 70000 or at least a decent proportion of them turn up for games like today's, for example ? Sorry Max, but the majority of those turning up at Wembley won' be true supporters.......
Brigzy 1,298
As I say, good luck, and I just hope no true supporter misses out on a ticket because some "plastic supporter" gets one !
Brigzy 1,298
I found out that the runners up in both cups DON'T get the Europa place, as they used to, it now goes to possibly 6th or 7th in the league, madness ! So let's hope Sunderland win.
gnasher16 30,281
A lot just cant afford to go on a regular basis Sunderland and the surrounding Ex Colliery Towns-Villages aint exactly employment Hotbeds But these folk still Follow SAFC buy a Footy Top watch when they can afford to ect ect And 20-30k are apparently heading to London without a ticket just for the day out to give SAFC their support. Iv heard Sunderland AFC are going to have Big Screens at The Stadium Of Light and beam it their for those not being able to go to Wembley Id say this would pull in a crown of 20-30k ? So SAFC getting Officialy 32k wembley tickets out of the 26k corporate i reckon SAFC will somehow get 10k of them thats 42k SAFC inside the Ground 20-30k going without tickets takes it to a potential 70k down the smoke 20-30k inside the Stadium of Light if they put it on Big Screens makes a potential 100k SAFC fans Enjoying Sunderland AFC and the City Of Sunderlands and Wearside's DAY Ha'Way The Lad's Come on Max you cant deny that was a piss poor turn out i couldnt believe what i was watching !....You say 70k will turn out for a cup final in London......yet only 17k will turn out AT HOME in the rounds......GLORY HUNTERS are the words you are looking for !! You cant keep making the excuse its a poor area theres poor areas all over the place your club sold 30k season tickets so thats at least 30k people who can afford a season ticket, yet only 17k wanted to go to a fifth round Fa Cup match when the club are flying in the cup comps......maybe football just aint popular up there these days ?........We can all raise big support for cup finals its your week to week support home and away your judged on there looked more people on the pitch than in the stands on saturday i turned it on 20 mins into the game and thought there had been a bomb scare or something
