Born Hunter 17,751
There was a thread up a while back about a chap who was on the waiting list for some life saving surgery and gave up his place for a young kid. I can't remember the details but very brave man indeed. Stiff, you reckon Labalaba didn't get the VC because he was Fijian or because the UK Gov. wanted to keep British miliitary involvement in Oman quiet? Even today there's very little publicised on what we did in Oman. The man was a f***ing machine by all accounts!
Huan72 687
A great dad, and what a man, what a human. Reminds me what is good about the human race, all the stuff in the news is so negative and then you see something like this..................there is hope

My partner works with people who have similar disabilities....me and my partner get attached to the people she works with and also there family's.....I admire there strength to carry on we complain about having a bad day when are car don't start or we have a power cut or the shop doesn't have in are usually brand of cigarettes .....but when I see a man of 28 who has his whole life infrint of him who is paralysed from the neck down in a accident ....I realise how minor and irrelevant are problems are..... That man has a true love for his son and it shows.......if only all dads where this committed as a farther..

I have a very young son and this did bring a tear or a dozen to the eye. It brings new meaning to "I'd do anything for my kids", well there's a man who did. Real man, proper hero.
