TheRealChuckNorris 42
They are charging £10 for 20 shots with these types at a new stand in the Shooting Show this weekend. I haven't shot one myself (and wouldn't dream of paying that money to have a go on a rimfire) but a chap at my club has one. His cards look more like he's had a go with a shotgun than a rifle and he gets the **** ripped out of him for his Rambo gun but he's happy enough. As he says, it's his choice but he won't use it for competition cards. Quote Link to post
Addz131 7
I have one in my little but growing collection a S&W MP 15 -22 that is and I love it I use it for rabbits and it's great fun if you don't mind going though ammo like its cheap it's only ever failed to eject with some Ely subs don't no why just doesn't like them but apart from that it's gleaming Quote Link to post
Addz131 7
In fact depending on how far you want to travel and time and date's iv got no drama's meeting you near my permission and letting you have a crack with it to make your own mind up after all that's why I'm on this forum ? Deker 3,478
This question has cropped up more than once, I have had contact with these over the years and frankly remain bemused. They are not an accurate target tool and whilst they may be adequate for some field work I would not want to walk around with one...and you commonly pay a premium for trying to look like Rambo. So, performance wise, they lack in many areas, for the grin factor and using up lots of ammo, why not. Each to their own, but I still don't get them, no practical use to me! ATB! Quote Link to post
Alsone 789
I know someone with a military type weapon but not an AR15 but a Marine Scout Clone. He's a target shooter and swears by the accuracy. I guess some are good and some not so good. I know his has a very heavy barrel. Have to question the need though. Apart from appearance, there's no difference to any other semi-auto. That said, if you really want one, why not. Quote Link to post
Addz131 7
Yea defiantly agree not everyone's cup of tea sure I have two other rifles I use for specific jobs and a shotgun being a military man I love anything that goes bang one of the main reasons I got the S&W semi auto was just plain and simple fun after all that's why we all shoot because at the root of it all we enjoy it personally I challenge anyone to empty a 25 round mag as quick as they can and not have a least a little bit of a smile ? or maybe it's just me ?
