Born Hunter 17,763
I wish..... but f**k it, it's friday afternoon! Anyway, I think most of us occasionally fantasise about winning a life changing sum. Fat chance but we can dream. What would you do? Just £1M (or 1M salmonds )..... is that retirement money these days?
Outlaw Pete 2,224
That's simple. I'd do what I've always said I'd do. I'd buy the two big fields below here. So I could put my horses on them for the " Summer ". Don't really know what I'd do with the rest. Buy f**king bird traps, knowing me!
keepdiggin 9,561
my first purchase would be a brand new overfinch range rover
Nik_B 3,790
Stick it in the bank and you'd only get 25 grand a year to live on. Spend it and it would run out soon enough. Not sure that's enough to retire on early if you still have a mortgage and kids and want to just live on teh interest. You'd have to stick it in a managed fund with all the risks that come with it.

Had this discussion before. Think I'd spend 400k on a house, 100k on an F-Type and Landy, invest 4-500k (possibly in rental properties) and drop to a 3 day week so I can enjoy what I have a bit more....

smithie 2,443
as its not nessesery to leave a house for your kids once you passed away as all can afford to buy and those that wont work still get housed i would spend it..ALL. buy house and land as far from everybody as i could get and enjoy life. i dont need extravagent things but if i had money i would buy everything i wanted:) given the above i think if i die wi 10k in the bank i wasted it as its done nothing for me so spend spend spend would be my moto.. live for today cos tomorrow might not come

Buy a few flats and live off the rent income, quit my job soon as the last number appeared Donate the rest to the crisis in Syria
