The new pulsar N750A is now released. Its the same shell as the original N550/750 but its basically got additional reticules to select and it has a 3 zero memory to allow to switch between guns or aim points.

I use the N750 at the minute for a dedicated digital scope sat on the rimfire for rabbits, and the image quality is excellent with the right IR. I was tempted to buy a drone mainly due to the purpose built doubler it has available, handy for longer shots, but for this reason only..

Anyone else using a N750, apart from the ergonomics of the focus adjustment, etc which could be designed better, although I find it rarely needs adjusting at the ranges I use it, and has a good depth of field, are you happy with the pulsar setup?

A lot of people mention the focus adjustmenton the N750 is hard to reach over the rifle to adjust, it is a little bit awkward, but I never adjust mine during a night really, it seems to have a good depth and everything is in focus..I tried a T20 on it and the image is vastly improved over the standard IR

I considered a doubler for it, but I don't really need one for the rimfire on rabbits, fitted to a centrefire I would defintely fit a doubler for anything over 100yards.

Interesting points as i was looking to get a 750 for my 243 for the foxes. Where i am i have good position to get out to around 300 yards easily in the dark (usual safety rules apply - before anyone jumps on it) so having to constantly change focus from about 50 out to say 200 would be an arse after a while.

Currently using the Photon 5x42 and its a good piece of kit. Haven't seen anything out past about 80/90 yards through it to get a real flavour for what it's limitations are but it'll be on my rimmy soon enough anyway.

So you folks would recommend the doubler lens for one. Good to know.

PS anyone using the pulsar recon 750 monocular or similar?

I've got a recon 750 hutchey they have an improved illuminator over the standard recon 550, but they are still improved further with decent IR from a T20 or Nightmaster...They don't have the same quality of image as a N750, Drone, etc as these have the OLED display which gives you a much better resolution/image, but there still good for the money with additonal IR. Some even mount them to vehicles and attach external monitor.

i only use my n550 on the airgun when i 1st got it i was hiting the rabbits in the head but not in the spot i wanted for a clean kill so i got a doubler and now i can define the rabbits head and hit where i want now also the pick is sharper ian

Yeh that would help mate.. I haven't fitted one as of yet, at the range I'm using it at, I like to have a wider field of view that the lower magnification gives to get on target quicker for now..plus I'm just mopping up the difficult ones with chest shots, as its just that little bit harder to judge exact range with the NV..

I am with gaffer on this one , put the Sony doubler on the N550 with a T20 ir and shooting rabbits at 50 yards with a spot on shot only because I can see exactly the spot I need for a clean kill and this is with a airgun so very important .

I use an n750 on a .204 mainly for fox. it is fitted with a xsearcher for illumination, i have shot fox out to 235yds no problem at all. I also use a x550 spotter with a bouble battery n/m 800 fitted to it, i can pick foxes up at 500yds.

Ian what mount do you use, the adjustable one supplied by taclight? If they had a mount fitted to the top of the N750 instead of the side I think it would be much better..

Not sure I like the add on units as they look so awkward and stick out too far out the front or interfere with the the eye end.

Mind you I've not tried one so can't really comment.

The price is still too high for these too,

Digex n450  bought from Blackwood in August this year in mint condition and all it came with in the box also included is a wraith +wraith torch with the x2and+3 head also the 840 and 940 pills so the versatility is endless , I have shot loads of foxs with this set up out to 220 yards no bother and as said the scope is mint and all works as it should
looking at a sensible price of £950 for the package, I can send more photos on request

      Hi!
I want to buy a used thermal imaging scope
      eg
Pulsar XP 50 thermal imaging scope
      or Pulsar trail xq50
maybe advise some other specialized forums - where they sell used thermal imaging scope?
