gnasher16 30,118
As Satan said if Groves is disciplined it could be an easy nights work..........if like last time he gets over confident and decides to macho it out......it will be the same outcome. You can bet your bollocks Froch will be attacking Groves " manliness " in the build up to the fight......anything he can do to get Groves to swap it out in a slugfest he is going to do.......Groves has just got to be smarter this time.

I think Froch got the power to deck him, if he could catch him with one.
brookie 1,193
Groves boxes his ears off (again) and fights smarter late on, unanimous points win, Froch retires after the fight. a very good friend of mine boxed sparred regular with groves when in the england team together .this lad has been around fought in america and russia sparred in sugar rays gym so he knows the score .says groves is strongest fighter hes ever been in with and tipped groves to stop froch last time .this time groves stops froch .hes a very young gutsy fighter thats only had 20 fights and will get stronger has the fight goes on whilst i think now froch will become an old man midway and fade and be stopped
marky b 309
I don't think I can imagine froch fading he's always got stronger as the fight go's on where groves has faded in the past

Sums it up really. The speed difference in the first few rounds was huge, i was at the fight in good seats and it was really noticeable how much sharper Groves was early. The heavy knockdown and fact he was beating Froch to the punch every time probably did Groves no favours - he started to lose respect for Froch and in the mid rounds thought he could abandon his jab and stand and trade - forgetting that Froch is a tough tough man and that played right into his hands. I just can't see Groves making that mistake again, he seems to have everything in his favour - speed, sharpness, has obviously proven he can seriously hurt Froch and now has the big fight experience so i can imagine he'll be even more confident in that sort of huge pressure environment. I honestly think Froch knows all this too so didn't fancy the rematch, it was clear he wanted to go to the States and fight Chavez, a much easier fight and big payday. He's been pressured into this rematch and knew his warrior rep would be on the line if he avoided it - but i reckon he's well aware that he's in the deep end here and might struggle big time - fighters can get old overnight and the way he looked for much of that first fight worried me, i hope for his sake he's got more in the tank. Anyway, everyone's got an opinion, there's mine, i just hope for a great fight, it will be a huge night for British boxing and i'm definitely going again!

TUFFTY 1,476
Well lads the time is nearly here. What are your thoughts on the outcome? Im going for a Froch win by knockout.
Alimac2 321
I'm not expert, not by far, but the first fight is the only time Iv been impressed by groves, I got as much of a fright as froch did at the way he went about it that night.. I think Carl looks a tad nervous as he knows what "might" be meeting him again at the weekend, personally I'm not sure if groves will produce another performance like that again, il take my hat off if he does. Picking a winner is as impossible as it gets.
MickC 1,825
Froch is the better brawler and Groves the better boxer, whichever one fights the others style is the loser,no doubt there will be some drama along the way,but I think this rematch is Groves fight to throw away again.Groves got too confident after all his good work in the first 7 rounds of the first fight and decided to mix it with Froch which played right into Frochs hands. Froch cant win on points he needs to stop Groves and Groves needs to box and stay disciplined for the full fight if he hopes to win this time.Froch has an excellent chin and excellent fitness so will be in the mix right until the final bell if it goes that far.Degale awaits for the winner so that can only be another massive fight for British Boxing .

vanman1 411
If groves stick to boxing i think he can win.BUT if he tries to tear it up with Froch i can only see Froch winning.
