Lab 10,979
You know the minute you go into a new site if the site agent is going to be a prick or not if the first question is "where's yer hi-viz??" Was working in a place Friday/Monday, a food packing place and you couldn't do nothing out of turn there. No parking beside the job, designated smoking areas, no camera phones, no eating on site.....ffs!!!

Wildling 520
Most site agents I've come across are Chippys by trade and know f**k all about anything, although the worst to deal with are Project Managers the come from a purely degree based background and think everything should run like a bloody production line................ c**ts ! deanflute 550
Im a painter, been on sites where gloves are mandatory. I got caught caulking up without my gloves on and then the lecture began! He told me I could wear fingerless gloves, I asked him what the main purpose of wearing gloves was, he said they reduced cut and grazes by upto 60%. So I said, so its ok to cut all my fingers to bits as long as the backs of my hands and my palms are protected! load of bollocks, on the same site we werent allowed to use hop ups, only podiums and room mate scaffolds. Its_grim_up_norf 577
had a gaffer leave before, site was running cracking. new gaffer turns up, throws about five lads off site for 'violations' gives us a 'big i am' speech before he shuts the site down for wooden ladders up the scaffolding until metal ones turn up, because 'we wouldnt allow them on barrat sites' So from then on he kept banging on about barrat and how they ran their site and comparing what went on, on our site to what they did. Nightmare. As a plumbing and heating engineer we get the same if lads come from british gas 'British gas did it this way so thats how i want it doing' as if they're the be all and end all of the trade.
