air gun ant 1,666
Hi, I've just got a trail can for my birthday and wondered how long I can expect the battery's to last? Eg if I set it up for a fortnight will it have stopped after the first couple of days? It's a durramax "grizzly" I've got it on a 10 second video setting? The camera takes 4 d battery's and the ir 3 c battery's? Any help welcome thanks Quote Link to post
moxy 617
If you don't mind can I jump on this thread. I'm looking for a trail cam myself but unsure of what to get? Been looking at the GPRS ones. Do they work and along with Ants post how much life do you get? Cheers. Quote Link to post

stubby 175
I use 2 trail cams, both from maplins, using the batteries that came with, set up to take 20 second video's, I replaced the batteries after about 2 months, but they wern't dead, still half full, added durecell about 2 months ago and still showing a full charge I suppose it'll depend how many times its activated, but one had a few hundred videos on it I did buy bigger, better quaility SD cards, you can get them for pictures or videos, so make sure if upgrading you get the right ones Quote Link to post
moxy 617
They will be the 5mp swans then stubby. Read a few reviews that claimed the shot was a few milliseconds too slow? How do you find them. Cheers Quote Link to post
stubby 175
they are ok for what they are, thats why I leave them to record 20 second clips, rather than take pictures Quote Link to post
