PUSSY DOCTOR 13
Not every one that runs salukis plasters them all over the web notice 90% of the dogs that get lifted are ones that have been publicised all over the web. I know at least a dozen lads that run pures so think you need a rethink. What do you run by the way? you seem to be getting a bit on the offensive desertbred.so lets start again i am asking a simple question.you are saying you know at least twelve lads that runs pures (.i need to have a rethink brilliant ha ha )out of that 12 = dozen.how many of these pures are doing two out of two on a regular basis.? and you ask what i run.what that has got to do with the question i dont know? but i would tell you what i would like to run.A PURE.but a good one is like finding hens teeth.please don;t take me for a fool or a trouble causer i am just doing my homework and i do know a few lads . and have been out with a few lads who own or owned pures.so i have seen the odd one run but i am by far no expert that is why i am asking on here for some help.but people just keep telling me there is good ones about .so i do some checking and then find out i have been lied to again.now i have answered your question could you please answer mine how many are catching at least two out of two. week in week out ? BOLIO1 1,078
Aye Tony's bitch was the only purebred dog of any breed to make it to the Forley cup finals and she managed it on three consecutive occasions. If I remember correctly she was one of the last three dogs left in it the year Braddy's Roxy won.....the other being M. Q.'s Beauty....sister to Noonies Beast. I more than likely don't, hence the question about what good blood is out there in the uk, what lines are proving their worth in the field? Quote Link to post

I dont need to go on the offensive my dogs do what I want them to and the other lads who I run with now and again also run on a regular basis, who said anything about 2s and 3s on a regular basis, The last time I ran one of mine she blanked so what it doesnt matter other times she takes most of what she gets slipped on as do my others most of the lads who run them are satisfied with what their dogs run and catch we are not in the numbers game if we were we would be into x bred stuff we just happen to run pures.. Does that answer your question finally our dogs are all working dogs I dont think one of them have ever seen a show ring and plenty of lads have advance booked with lads for any future litters that may or may not be bred.so there seems to be an interest incidently those dozen lads have nearly 30 pures between them so its not one man one dog. Its_grim_up_norf 577
same as cars, i love the shelby mustang 67, eleanor from gone in 60 seconds, stunning car, would be a joy to drive. would it win races? probably not because its like a bar of soap round corners. But id enjoy driving it so i wouldnt care. Depends what you want from a dog mate you might prefer saluki lurcher, where as D-B is in it for the love of running salukis, not how many he catches. 5 Quote Link to post

arcticgun 4,548
In short no one can sell you a top notch pure saluki, not imho to compete with top class lurcher coursing bred. What they can or could sell you is a pup that if its bred right may have a chance to make you a good lurcher that will stop you some hares and miss others bit more luck you get real consistency mind the price of that is high Most who try em give up on em well before they get anywhere near right to run proper different kettle of fish to lurcher in short only get one if your prepared for the fact its a pure saluki not a saluki lurcher last word like most running dogs its my honest belief the owner usually the weak link in the team be interesting if the dogs could speak eh lol Edited February 11, 2014 by arcticgun 2 Quote Link to post
