Windage!! 6
Hi Guys, I'm currently using Hull 7.5 21g Comp x cartridges for my Clay days. They are the cheapest I can find at the moment and perform well however any help with regards to any cheaper shells would be great. I buy my shells in the 1000 / 4 slabs at a time for the best prices this normally lasts me a month / 4 clay sessions. Thanks

DKGPestControl 22
I use Black Gold 28g 8's which are absolutely awesome! However I ran out the other day after having far to many goes on a pool shoot! A friend I went with sold me 250 Express Power Red 27g 7.5's they still travel 1500 fps and only cost £160 per 1000! Whereas the black gold are about £250 or more. I have also heard good things about the eley super fast cartridges again around the £150 per 1000 mark

Ruster 9
I used to use eley firsts 7.5 28g from sportsman exeter 1000 for £159, i recently changed to sportsman super smokers they are also 7.5 28g and are made by trust 1000 cost £150 thats the cheapest i have found. The super smokers have slightly more kick but i seem to hit more with them so maybe they are faster, the extra recoil is negligible so i am glad i changed Edited October 22, 2014 by Ruster
Simps 0
Had some good scores with power reds. Nice fast shells. Hull super fast are also great and about £170/1000. I don't rate Hull comp x at all, very dull sounding discharge.
DKGPestControl 22
I like using Black Gold and long range killing power is awesome! I don't think there is a better shell on the market. I did however shoot well with the Power Reds and yes they are £100 per 1000 cheaper but I only shoot about 500 a month so for the extra £50 a month Id rather use Black Gold. If I don't waste money on cartridges it will only be wasted on something else shooting related that I probably don't need lol
Si-Fi 2
Black gold are extremely good but not worth the extra for a normal club shooter. Gamebore blue diamond are a very good compromise. They pattern extremely consistently & you definitely wouldn't know the difference between them and black gold. Cheaper cartridges generally give you more perceived recoil and don't pattern as well. Despite Hull's claim that superfast are 1500ft/sec they test in the low 1400ft/sec.
