Hedges are feckers, it's taken me a lot of time to get mine under control from when I moved in and to get the garden shaped up I've taken about 30 mature hawthorns out. Leaving many more that have now been cut right back to get order and symmetry for hedges. Looks better each year. Feck all that diesel/salt/poison bollox, it does more harm than good. Simply buy better tools and get yer back into it. Aye mate, I think your right. I don't know why the fanny wants a shed in February lol. Got some bargain and its all systems go. I phoned him last night and he's done hee haw and can't see that changing before the weekend. I'm just praying for snow they are amazing plants, the defense they've made. Trying to get into the main stock to cut it down is hard with all the wee branches. But then again, we were using a saw and I think the axe sounds better then the roots, f**k me, they go everywhere.
