Hi bjay, as Tomo put 30rows X 20 will make a nice net to cover most situations over here, so make them all that size(or bigger)that way you'll have it covered "you can put a big net over a little hole but you cant put a little net over a big hole"

ive ferreted most place s in the uk and even across the water on some very sandy areas,,, big holes 3/4 exits coming out of 1, just put 2/3 what ever purse nets over the covering of the hole,,,,, jobs a good un,,,////////////// a double peg net over here comes more to life and in use on breaking a heage row set up,,,,,,

So 30 x 20 is going to be the first one then ,

Yeah over here in oz the holes i do , are mainly sand and if on a bank the top part tends to fall in , plus dogs diggin

making a larger hole than normal

I have started the nets by getting all the stuff in one place rings, twine, needle,tv remote, beer, ect

cheers

i find it helps when making nets, whether single pegs or pokes to start them off narrow, maybe 12 or 14 meshes wide and increase the width by adding extra meshes on the end meshes of each row (i think that makes sense????) Then when you reach when you think you're wide enough, do 3 or 4 rows the same, then start to decrease at the same rate. I find putting the belly in saves time on knots and doesn't affect the nets efficiency
