B.P.R 2,798
Hot meat,,, bpr or any one else who's done a stretch in the army,,,,, What do you think to those army gortex over trousers ,,you can get them for around £20 depending on size,, on line,,, or from anchor army surplus .... They look strong and hard wearing,,, you can get them in normal English style camo,,, or the desert sandy colour......is there any difference apart from colour... Couple of seasons back when it was FREEZING up here... i wore softy trousers and a pair of DPM goretex over trousers.... I was toasty...and dry.... I dont kniw where they went... but as we dont wear them.... ive never bothered replacing them.... If you can pick them up cheap... im sure theyd do you a good turn for ferreting.... Ive not seen a pair ripped...whether thats due to the fact that they never get worn in work.... or that theyre tough... i dont know ... 1 Quote Link to post

THE STIFFMEISTER 16,105
Basically cool as f**k Being ally however is a knife edge, you can have all the ally kit in the world but still be websters Similarly an ally bloke can make websters kit look ally by process of use and style of wearing Quote Link to post
THE STIFFMEISTER 16,105
Nick , obviously , however hero sleeves can only be worn in short sleeve order In the case of jumpers it's always best to scissor them off the elbow minimum, neck always to be cut away as you don't want that collar to get stretched do you? Just Lol. Oh I miss this.... I really do. All jungle hats must have cut down brims and pulled right forward sewed down to look ally as fook. At least in my day. Quote Link to post
Flacko 1,747
Tomo if you out your comfy zone on your midlands perm pass it on us Black Country men are used to all them tight edges and brambles lol wax coats and knee pads atb Flacko Quote Link to post
THE STIFFMEISTER 16,105
Beyond nick although when it gets chilly you really need to swap that jungly for your load alpine peaked warm hat and the sealskins are to be donned Underneath a good under armour or Nike compression top must be worn , in colder climes only a helly Hanson will Do However once leaving the field all Dpm upper half clothing should be removed and replaced by a Sqn jumper, rugby shirt or a north face puffa jacket Quote Link to post

My mate in the RAF Reg calls em "cold n wets" for obvious reasons. They're not gortex, the gortex ones are more expensive. I'm still waiting on a proper pair of GorTex from him.... Quote Link to post
norseman 424
olive green wax is camo enough, and a pair of long john's for the heat to be warm and dry is my main goal though. Quote Link to post
