the scudd 82 Posted February 9, 2014 Report Share Posted February 9, 2014 hi mate I shot a sika calf yesterday evening but to retrieve it I had to cross a flooded stream I was wearing a whapiti jacket and swazi bib and braces with goretex pro boots. the river was in flood not very wide but very deep I ended up into near my armpits, to be honest I was a bit wet but mostly from the top of my boots down. the bellow pockets on the jacket were full of water. I think you can,t beat swazi . a word of warning it,s not very warm so you need to layer up with it Quote Link to post Share on other sites

taffey 1,315 Posted February 10, 2014 Report Share Posted February 10, 2014 Tried rivers west smock and like someone said made me sweat like an Iraqi bus driver got ridgeline smock and roar performance pants been out in some awfull rain wind etc and they do keep you dry jacket did sweat me a bit but found the pants to be warm and dry did have a pair of piss thin craghoppers on under them and they were bone dry when took pants off so ridgeline is great kit try optics warehouse think they do a decent deal on jacket and pants atb taffey 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
