Huan72 687
If you have a dog that has very little bite inhibition, get a muzzle. Its better to be safe than sorry and be sensible, owning any dog is a serious responsibility but owning one that has a history of biting people or dogs requires a total commitment and is a very serious business. For instance if you know that your dog is very dog aggressive, don't give him the opportunity to attack, get routines in place, before opening the front door, pop a muzzle on and put him in another room, using the safety corridor principle from kennels etc. The most used phrase when a dog bites is " he has never done that before" . No dog goes from Walt Disney gentle soul to out and out aggressive without warning signals and/or incidents, its all about knowing your dog and accepting responsibility

dare 1,103
Got to say part of me wants to laugh as I picture it. Other part of me says I agree with tommy pepper. If the dog was commanded to do so or let out knowing what it would do then that's half fair enough I suppose. For the dog to be out of control and attack someone everyone laughs because its a paki but if it was a kid would sing a different story. Reminds me of that scene about rodney king on American history x. Anyway had few jds after work don't mean to be miserable just think this could easily of been a different sort of story. Craig83 52
I couldn't be arsed to read the full post. But my staffy bit a drunken intruder one night on our land. The poor sod had walked down the lane thinking he was going home, infact he was walking the wrong way. Long story short he required hospital treatment, I informed the police straight away. It went along the lines of. He wasn't invited onto my property, and I had signs up warning of a loose dog. Nothing was done, but your best of imedietly informing the old bill yourself.
