socks 32,253
I am glad that the young bitch Tilly I have here can jump like a gazelle when in full flight because she is convinced that if she can't get over something whilst chasing quarry she can go straight through it ... She really is a do or die type of dog that gives me heart in mouth moments on a daily basis .......... Quote Link to post
Belfasthunter 12
Get a field with sheep wire along the bottom and throw the bal through the hole an she might go over it worth a try.. Try to get one without the barbwire for starters Quote Link to post
JAE B 550
As long as you've taught that dog to jump small fences from 6 mths on etc that dog should be going over fences at 18 mth no problem // sometimes no matter how much jumping fencing you do with a dog some just don't have it in them to do it IMO were a live they have to jump . Yours in sport dogs that jump Quote Link to post

I would of rathered the rabbit got away :_( i dont mind mine jumping to get over a fence when i tell it to but wouldnt be pushing it to jump while chasing quary because of this reason, when they are chasing there is not much care for anything else, id rather my dog pulled up and if a dog has to jump the fence its not preassuring the rabbit enough to hesitate and turn on fence line, i know the odd one will just go straight through regardless but id rather that was there to run another day than my dog been out of action because he got hung up on barbed wire just the way i think i know some of you will disagree atb Quote Link to post
