Ferreting Jacket

Just bought one of these Swiss alpenflage army jacket off eBay £14 unused,

Loads of huge pockets for nets and locators, 2 big bellow pockets at the bottom front, 3 big pockets at the back with one pocket being huge, I've just easly put 40 nets in the bottom and back pockets loosely, could easily carry 50 at least? Loads more pockets on the chest and arms for locators or other ferreting gear? Ideal for lads who are doing big sets or someone who doesn't want to carry a big heavy game bag on there shoulders along with a ferret box

I used to have one of those; if I remember the elbows are waterproof too, and the trousers have waterproof knees very good, but very heavy

 

Also look in the hood for a cool little surprise!

Yes they have waterproof elbows, the weights not bad, what's the surprise in the hood? Not noticed lol

id still prefer a gamebag, i wouldnt want my pockets full of 50 nets + other kit all day.

There is also a little large pack thing that hooks onto the jacket if you can get hold of it.

Many moons ago this was what we wore when playing "enemy" during exercises; the amount of mag pouches is unbelievable....

 

It was good stuff; personally though I just think the material is just too heavy (indestructible though)

Looks a useful sort of garment that, out of curiosity what is the perfect ferreting coat/smock in your experience? I've been trying to find one for 30year and still looking!
