Newlife2 55
Once you have finished with the oïl do you wax the stock afterward? Quote Link to post
risingfriend 1,042
Cheers Aaron! We will have to have an odp meet again soon! Deffo sort something soon mate Quote Link to post
Mawders 595
Personally new life I have not waxed the stock as I do not want a shiney look, more of a satin finish that pops the grain out. I've finished now and put the pro sport back together and I think she looks feckin awesome! She's really darkened a lot using this oil which is what I was hoping for and those little microscopic holes are a thing of the past as the wood has sucked up all the walnut oil goodness! 2 Quote Link to post
Newlife2 55
Thanks, Mawder, I was just on VHTV where you and Si are at Glevum and your stock was natural finish, well I think you should be very happy with what you`ve done with it now. I did the same with my walnut tx but I went with boiled linseed oïl. I`m happy with the change too. Quote Link to post
Mawders 595
Cheers Newlife, Air Arms really do make the best walnut stocks in my opinion. The tx in walnut is to die for also! Quote Link to post
Mawders 595
Just a heads up that this rifle is now for sale on here in the guns and rifles section. Quote Link to post
J-D 7
I have used this oil on my guns and think it's the best, the only problem is I do think the rabbits can smell it a mile off. Quote Link to post

That's likely true. It really smells nice to me too. A little bit like banana and walnut to my senses. Don't think the rabbits would like it though! Quote Link to post
