coney catcher 0
i tried them together again about an hour ago tthe ferret was roaming around and started to get playfull and nipped the terrier on the nose and he bolted to the bottom of the garden Quote Link to post
MIKE 18
Easiest way is to put down a bowl of milk and allow them to drink from it together obviuosly watching the terrier closely ............ most of all the dog needs to be familiar with the ferret and realise that it's a working companion not fair game Quote Link to post
coney catcher 0
i tried that just this second ago they both drank the milk without bother from either side Quote Link to post

Guest MOLLY
Got no problems with the dogs, its the ferrets i cant trust......how do you stop them biting the dogs cos the dogs will not tolerate being bitten. As soon as they are near anything furry (including the tops of my slippers :11: ) they immediately sink their teeth in MOLL. Quote Link to post
coney catcher 0
luckily i dont have that prob though they do nip the dog but it dont seem to bother him Quote Link to post
Guest MOLLY
luckily i dont have that prob though they do nip the dog but it dont seem to bother him <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Mine view ferrets as a larger rat you see, so they will never be 100% safe with them, and being bitten would result in an untimely end They can just about tolerate not looking at them cos they will feel my wrath, but if they were bitten i really dont think id be able to stop them  Quote Link to post
